Drop Off

I was accepted into a group show in Sacramento, California. It’s just a single painting and it’s some sort of charity or auction. It was a show I submitted to a while back. I’m not sure how to feel about it.

Excited would be nice, but I don’t get excited I get anxious. There’s a sad part of me that wants to ignore it and to flake out. If ever you wonder why I’m not further along in my art career than I am, it is because of that feeling. I’ve snubbed a lot of good heart opportunities in my time. That feeling out there, I have a responsible side I’m trying to foster. Getting the painting framed and dropped off is easy, a couple hours framing, a few hours car ride, then my painting is off in the world somewhere. Better than collecting dust in my closet.

I’m gonna do it. I’m just gonna drag my feet while doing so. Thursday or Friday I’ll make the trip.
